TEHRAN – Iran is set to welcome the science ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this upcoming spring, according to the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Hossein Simaei-Sarraf. - Globally, Iran ranks 6th in neural network technology and 12th in multi-agent systems.
- In terms of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and robotics, Iran claims the second position among Islamic nations.
- Over a ten-year period from 2014 to 2023, Iran achieved second place in three-dimensional printing with 606 publications, ranking 22nd globally.
The report released in January also highlighted the growth of publications related to three-dimensional printing and additive manufacturing in Iran from 2010 to 2023, showcasing the country’s dedication to advancing technology in this sector.

Additionally, Iran has shown impressive results in the field of four-dimensional (4D) printing, with 65 documents, ranking first among Islamic nations and 11th globally.

In May 2023, Vahid Haddadi-Asl, the deputy science minister, emphasized Iran’s readiness to share its technological expertise with other Islamic countries. He stated, “Science and technology should be applied to create world peace and human justice.
