UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini has voiced serious concerns regarding the impact of the ongoing Gaza conflict on children, describing the situation as a “no land” for them. Since the resumption of hostilities, over 100 children are reportedly killed or injured daily, with approximately 15,000 child fatalities since October 7, 2023. Lazzarini condemned the violence, urging for renewed ceasefire efforts to protect innocent lives. UNICEF reports that the humanitarian crisis is worsening, with 322 children killed and one million suffering due to the bombardment. The overall death toll in Gaza has reached over 50,600, highlighting the urgent need for international action.
