Qalibaf Warns: Israeli Delusions Could Spark Regional Conflict with Any Attack on Iran

In recent statements, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has characterized Israeli rhetoric as delusional and ineffective in swaying the ongoing discussions between Iran and the United States. He cautioned that any acts of aggression directed towards Iran could lead to a significant regional conflict.

During a parliamentary session on Tuesday, Qalibaf stated that Iran remains vigilant and does not regard these threats as serious. He emphasized, “Even the slightest aggression will be like igniting a barrel of gunpowder,” indicating the potential consequences of any hostile actions. Key points from his address include:

  • U.S. Bases at Risk: All American military installations in the region would be endangered.
  • Shared Costs: Regional states would bear the repercussions of Israel’s actions.
  • Preparedness: Iran is fully equipped to respond powerfully to any aggression.
  • Focus on Strength: Emphasis on enhancing internal capabilities and international relations to protect national interests.

Qalibaf also targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him a “corrupt criminal” whose threats are motivated by his fear of political failure. He noted, “He is so terrified of being arrested that he changes his flight routes daily,” further branding Netanyahu as the “most hated criminal in modern history.”

Moreover, Qalibaf remarked, “Every time this corrupt criminal brags louder, he suffers a bigger defeat,” highlighting that “Hamas has become his nightmare.” He contended that Israel’s true nature has been revealed, particularly to the youth in the U.S. and Europe.

In conclusion, he asserted that the Israeli regime has not achieved its objectives during the Gaza conflict and is currently experiencing profound economic, political, and social turmoil. As Qalibaf stated, Israel is now “at its most insecure state.”
