TEHRAN – The recent meeting between Iranian science attaché Mohammad-Reza Pour-mohammadi and Turkish university officials marks a significant step towards enhancing scientific cooperation between Iran and Turkey. During a productive meeting with Mehmet Cahit Güran, the Rector of Hacettepe University, both officials reviewed previous agreements and underscored the necessity for expanding partnerships. - Sabbatical leaves for postgraduate students to encourage academic exchanges.

In another significant discussion with Hatice Bakkaloğlu, the Vice Rector of Hacettepe University, the two sides reiterated the importance of fostering scientific collaborations. They highlighted the potential for:

Additionally, Pour-mohammadi attended a meeting with Kürşat Aydoğan, the Rector of Bilkent University, where Aydoğan provided insights into the academic status of Iranian students at the institution. In a noteworthy development, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and Suleyman Demirel University of Turkey have signed a new scientific, research, and educational memorandum of understanding. The MOU was executed by Seyyed Basir Hashemi, Chancellor of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and Alim Koşar, Vice Rector of Suleyman Demirel University.
The agreement outlines several key initiatives, including:

According to Hashemi, this MOU will significantly contribute to promoting science diplomacy and expanding international collaborations. It aims to facilitate:

On April 26, another important meeting took place involving Mohammad Nabi Shahiki, the Deputy Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology, and Mustafa Aydin, the President of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS). During this meeting, officials proposed:
