Recognizing the immense potential each Iranian province holds, particularly those rich in historical and cultural heritage such as Isfahan, Fars, Kermanshah, Sistan-Baluchestan, and Hamedan, the minister expressed optimism about attracting Brazilian tourists. To formalize this partnership, he proposed the signing of a memorandum of understanding focused on tourism and medical tourism.

In response, Menezes expressed his enthusiasm for engaging with senior Iranian tourism officials. He stated, “Enhancing relations with Iran is of great significance to us, and I am delighted to be here.” He acknowledged the geographical distance but stressed the importance of bridging the gap between the two nations. “One of the key strategies for boosting tourism cooperation is increasing awareness about the tourist attractions of both countries,” he emphasized.

Menezes also pointed out Brazil’s tourism potential, particularly highlighting the allure of the Amazon rainforest.
