President Pezeshkian: Upholding Human Rights is Key to Preventing War

The recent statements made by President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Tehran Dialogue Forum highlight the significance of respecting human rights in international relations. He reiterated that Iranians have a long history of seeking peaceful coexistence with neighboring nations, despite efforts to incite discord among them.

On the topic of energy resources in the Persian Gulf, the president remarked:

“Without the energy of the region, the West would be paralyzed.”

He pointed out that Western powers appear to seek arms deals with regional states in exchange for oil.

Additionally, President Pezeshkian stated that Iran is entitled to pursue peaceful nuclear energy for various applications, including:
