President Pezeshkian Slams Western Double Standards in Humanities Debate

In a recent address, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly condemned the West for its double-standard policies regarding humanitarian issues. His remarks, made during an event for Red Crescent Week, shed light on the stark contrast between Western rhetoric and actions in global affairs.

President Pezeshkian expressed his concerns about Western nations that advocate for democracy, freedom, peace, and security, yet engage in actions that are more brutal than the fiercest beasts. He emphasized that these countries often deflect responsibility for their own actions onto others.

“Before the eyes of the world, it is unclear who comes to the aid of humanity and who crushes people under missiles and advanced weaponry,” he added.

He further questioned the morality of those who preach human rights while supporting violent actions against vulnerable populations:

  • “How can those who stand behind official podiums and preach about human rights and humanity accept the bombing of women, children, and the elderly?”
  • “What kind of beast lives inside these people?!”

Pezeshkian also criticized international organizations for their silence in the face of the Israeli regime’s actions and the killing of innocent civilians. He stated:

  • “The world watches but does nothing.”
  • “The United Nations sees yet defends such criminals. This is the issue we face.”

He concluded by highlighting the hypocrisy of leaders who proclaim freedom and peace while acting with savagery that surpasses that of the most vicious animals.
