Polish Cyclists Unite for an Epic Rally in Gilan Province!
In a remarkable journey, Polish cyclists have embarked on a memorable ride from Warsaw to Isfahan, celebrating the legacy of General Andres’ Liberation Army during World War II. This venture not only honors the 120,000 Polish prisoners who were released from Soviet labor camps but also recognizes the warmth and hospitality extended by Iranians to Polish emigrants. The group of 32 Polish cyclists began their expedition in Warsaw, making their way through several countries, including:

- Hungary
- Romania
- Bulgaria
- Turkey
Upon entering Iran via the Bazargan border, they have a carefully planned itinerary that includes visits to:
- Bandar Anzali
- Tehran
- Isfahan
During their stay, the cyclists will pay their respects at the graveyards of Polish emigrants buried in these cities, commemorating their memories and contributions. Vahedi mentioned that the cyclists are scheduled to depart Iran through the Razi Border in Khoy, located in the West Azarbaijan province, on May 9.
The Touring and Automobile Club of Gilan, in collaboration with the Gilan Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Department, is actively supporting the rally of Polish cyclists. They have organized a well-structured route within Gilan and will accompany the cyclists until their departure from the region.
Vahedi emphasized the importance of such international tours by stating, “We hope that these tourism-focused tours, which convey messages of peace and friendship, will help familiarize foreign tourists with the rich culture, customs, and historical attractions of our country, especially Gilan. We seek greater attention and support from the authorities for these initiatives.”
The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), comprising 245 motoring and motorsport club members from 147 countries, plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication and idea exchange among its members.
