Pakistan’s PM Embraces Iran’s Peace Initiative to De-escalate India Tensions

On Saturday evening, a significant phone call took place between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing the ongoing diplomatic relations and the quest for regional stability. During this conversation, Sharif reiterated his official invitation for Pezeshkian to visit Islamabad, highlighting the importance of collaboration in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

Prime Minister Sharif articulated Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining peace in the region, stating that if Iran is willing to contribute, Islamabad would welcome their efforts. He condemned all forms of terrorism and firmly denied any connection to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, located in the Indian-administered Kashmir region.
