Iran Urges Islamic World to Unite in Solidarity with Palestine
In a significant diplomatic move, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called on Arab and Islamic nations to back the efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in addressing a concerning U.S.-Israeli initiative aimed at forcibly relocating Palestinians from their homeland. This urgent appeal highlights the ongoing struggle for Palestinian rights and the necessity for a unified response from the Islamic world.
During a recent meeting in Muscat, Oman, with Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, the secretary general of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC), Araghchi emphasized the critical need for a cohesive voice supporting the Palestinian cause. Here are some key points from the discussion:

In response, Al-Budaiwi expressed support for ongoing dialogue and interaction between the PGCC and Iran, emphasizing mutual interests and shared concerns. He appreciated Iran’s proposal for an emergency OIC meeting focused on Palestine and reiterated the Council’s strong opposition to any attempts to resettle Palestinians in foreign countries. The PGCC remains committed to advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.
Araghchi is currently in Muscat to attend the 8th Indian Ocean Rim Summit, co-hosted by Oman, India, and Singapore under the theme “Towards New Horizons of Maritime Partnership.” This summit gathers senior officials from 20 member nations, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in addressing regional challenges.
