Iran Propels AI Education Forward: National Competitions Ignite Student Innovation
The Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hussein Afshin, has announced the continuation of nationwide artificial intelligence (AI) education programs for students. These initiatives are complemented by periodic competitions held throughout the year, aiming to enhance the understanding and application of AI among young learners.
According to the vice president’s office, over 440,000 students have registered for the initiative, with a remarkable 33,000 participants engaging in the first nationwide AI competition. Under the ambitious “Digital Iran” plan, free AI training is expected to reach more than two million students.
