Iran Poised to Defend Against Any Potential Aggression: A Strong Stance on National Security

In a significant development for regional security, Tajikistan’s Minister of Defense, Major General Emomali Sobirzoda, engaged in a crucial phone conversation with Major General Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces. This dialogue underscores the importance of cooperation and solidarity between Tajikistan and Iran, especially in light of recent military conflicts.

During the call, General Sobirzoda extended his heartfelt congratulations to General Mousavi on his recent appointment as Chief of Staff. He also expressed condolences for the loss of Lieutenant General Bagheri and other military leaders, as well as innocent Iranian civilians. General Sobirzoda remarked, “This great sorrow is felt deeply by the government, people, and armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.”

Highlighting the strong cultural, linguistic, and historical connections between the two nations, the Tajik defense minister characterized the relationship as one of brotherhood. He noted, “The government and people of Tajikistan regard the Iranian people as their friends and accept them as true brothers.” This sentiment reflects the deep-rooted ties that foster collaboration in military and diplomatic affairs.

In response, General Mousavi expressed gratitude for Tajikistan’s support during the recent 12-day military conflict. He acknowledged that General Bagheri had consistently prioritized relations with Tajikistan, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between their armed forces. He stated, “Positive and effective steps have been taken in this direction, and I will continue this path.”

General Mousavi also provided an overview of the recent conflict, describing it as a tough battle against the United States and the Zionist regime. He asserted, “This shameless crime proved to the world that, despite the overwhelming force deployed by the United States and the child-killing Zionist regime, they failed to achieve their goals and suffered heavy blows.” He highlighted that the aggressors requested a ceasefire in a desperate attempt to save the Zionist regime.

With the ongoing tensions, General Mousavi emphasized the Iranian military’s stance: “We absolutely do not trust the promises and commitments of the Americans and the Zionists, and we are fully prepared to decisively respond to any possible renewed act of aggression.” This statement reflects Iran’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and readiness to confront any threats.

The conflict escalated on June 13 when the Zionist regime initiated military actions against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. Subsequently, on June 22, the US conducted military strikes on three critical nuclear sites in Iran, namely Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.

In response to these aggressive actions, Iranian military forces executed powerful counterattacks. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force launched 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III. This operation resulted in significant damage to cities within the occupied territories.

Additionally, the Iranian armed forces retaliated against US military actions by targeting the al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, the largest American military installation in West Asia. These operations underscore Iran’s military capabilities and its readiness to respond to external threats.

A ceasefire that took effect on June 24 has since halted the intense fighting. The recent exchanges highlight the ongoing volatility in the region and the necessity for diplomatic dialogue and military preparedness.

In conclusion, the conversation between General Sobirzoda and General Mousavi illustrates the critical nature of Tajikistan and Iran’s relationship amid escalating tensions. Their mutual support and commitment to collaboration serve as a foundation for future cooperation, ensuring both nations can navigate the complexities of regional security together.

This dialogue is a reminder of the importance of alliances and solidarity in the face of adversity, as both nations continue to seek peace and stability in the region.
