Aref elaborated on the agenda of the meeting, mentioning that it had two primary objectives:

  • To discuss and strengthen bilateral relations.
  • To participate in the Third Caspian Sea Economic Conference.

“Our discussions primarily focused on economic relations,” Aref noted, emphasizing that both nations recognize their economies could complement each other effectively. He added, “We can meet Tajikistan’s needs in various sectors.”

Prime Minister Rasulzoda expressed optimism about the future of Iranian-Tajik cooperation. He pointed out that the recent agreements signed during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Tajikistan in January would serve as a foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation.
