In a significant diplomatic engagement, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad to discuss crucial issues affecting bilateral relations, regional dynamics, and the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

Furthermore, the two officials condemned the atrocities and human rights violations occurring in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Araqchi reiterated Iran’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Pakistan, stating that Tehran is eager to enhance bilateral ties for mutual benefit. He highlighted the necessity to expand trade between the two countries to its fullest potential.
The discussion also included the situation in Afghanistan, where Araqchi stressed the importance of continued cooperation between Iran and Pakistan on regional matters. After a productive one-day visit, Araqchi concluded his discussions in Islamabad and departed for Tehran.
