On October 23rd, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tehran celebrated the 63rd anniversary of diplomatic relations by hosting the Korea-Iran Calligraphy Exhibition. Organizing this exhibition came with its challenges, but it was precisely because of the significance of family that we persevered. The value of this concept remains timeless and beautiful.

A: The primary understanding and commonality in both Iranian and Korean calligraphy lies in the notion that we do not write merely to leave a record; instead, we express our hearts, feelings, imagination, and logic through this art form.

Q: How does holding such exhibitions and conducting cultural actions strengthen Iran-Korea cultural relations?
A: I prefer not to use the term “cultural exchange” because I believe that when people connect meaningfully, cultural transfer naturally occurs. Human relationships take precedence for me. I am confident that when I return to Korea and reflect on my experiences in Iran, my heart will race with fond memories, inspiring my future artistic endeavors. When art is created from such heartfelt connections, it transforms into something truly valuable.
