This service, operated by Yazd Airways, marks a significant development in Gorgan International Airport’s connectivity.

According to Ali Metanat, the director-general of Golestan province’s airports, the new flight service will operate weekly on Tuesdays, providing a convenient option for those looking to travel between these two vibrant cities. Here are some key details about the upcoming flights:

First Flight Date: The inaugural flight is set for Bahman 2 (January 21).
Departure: Flights will depart from Gorgan International Airport.
Operator: The service will be facilitated by Yazd Airways.

This expansion aims to address the rising demand from the local community and businesses, fostering greater economic opportunities. Currently, Gorgan International Airport operates two weekly international flights to:

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Aktau, Kazakhstan

With the introduction of the Istanbul route, Gorgan International Airport will increase its international destinations to three, enhancing its role in regional travel.

On the domestic front, Gorgan International Airport is already a hub of activity, handling 57 weekly flights to various destinations across Iran. These include major cities such as:

Assaluyeh
