In a recent statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi highlighted the importance of regional relations, stating that neighbors are Iran’s top priority. This sentiment underscores Iran’s commitment to fostering stronger ties within the region.
Araghchi expressed his enthusiasm for hosting key Qatari officials, stating: “Always a pleasure to host our brothers Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani,” he wrote on his X account on Thursday.
He further emphasized the significance of these discussions, noting, “Fruitful exchanges on bilateral relations and regional issues, our neighbors are our priority.” This reinforces Iran’s strategic focus on collaboration and dialogue with neighboring countries.
On Wednesday, February 19, President Masoud Pezeshkian officially welcomed the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his official visit to Tehran. The purpose of this visit was to:
