Iranian Minister: US Dreams of Halting Iran’s Oil Exports to Zero Are Impossible
In a recent statement, Iran’s Petroleum Minister, Mohsen Paknejad, asserted that the true strength of the Islamic Republic lies in its people. He confidently declared that the goal of U.S. President Donald Trump to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero is an impossible feat.
During the rallies commemorating the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution held on February 10 in Tehran, Paknejad highlighted the enduring legacy of the Revolution, initiated by the late Imam Khomeini and supported by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He pointed out that this revolution remains resilient due to the unwavering commitment of the Iranian populace.
Paknejad criticized Trump’s administration, emphasizing that:
- The maximum pressure policies have proven ineffective.
- Trump’s ambitions to completely halt Iran’s oil exports are unrealistic.
Furthermore, the minister condemned the U.S. for its alliance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him as one of the world’s most notorious figures. He called out the hypocrisy of both nations for professing to support human rights while simultaneously committing atrocities in Gaza.
Paknejad insisted that:
- Israel’s threats should not be taken seriously, as they are well aware of Iran’s capabilities across multiple sectors.
- The Iranian people understand the plots of their adversaries and remain resolute in their support for the Islamic Republic.
He also remarked that despite initial doubts from international entities regarding Iran’s oil industry at the start of the Revolution, the country has achieved remarkable self-sufficiency over the past 46 years.
