Iran’s Education Crisis: Thousands of Students Struggle in Makeshift Trailer Classrooms
Iran faces an urgent need for educational reform, highlighted by about 1,820 classrooms operating from trailers. Majid Abdollahi, Deputy of Iran’s School Modernization Organization, has emphasized the importance of modernizing these makeshift schools, alongside addressing around 1,000 stone cottage schools. Iran Makes Significant Strides in AI Research Rankings, Reports Official
Iran has improved its global ranking in Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientific production from 33rd to 30th, as reported by the Nature Index. Official Hossein Afshin highlighted the country’s focus on quality, with regional rankings fluctuating between 14th and 17th. Iran’s AI infrastructure development includes an AI platform aimed at enhancing public services. The Oxford Insights AI Readiness Index also noted Iran’s progress, moving up to 91st globally. While Iran excelled in the Data & Infrastructure pillar, it scored lower in the Government pillar. Overall, Iran’s commitment to AI research and readiness suggests a promising future for technological advancement.
Tehran Set to Host 25th International Congress on Cutting-Edge Cardiovascular Updates!
The 25th International Congress on Cardiovascular Updates (ICCU) will be held in Tehran from September 23 to 26, hosted by the Iranian Society of Atherosclerosis. The event aims to improve global understanding of cardiovascular diseases, featuring experts from various countries and covering 343 topics through 80 panels and 290 presentations. Despite a 180% increase in cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in Iran over 35 years, recent data shows a 30% decrease in prevalence and a 40% drop in mortality rates. The congress will discuss treatment advancements and emphasize early detection and preventive measures, addressing major risk factors and promoting public awareness.
