National Elderly Week in Iran, from September 30 to October 6, emphasizes improving the mental and physical health of older adults, coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons on October 1. Major Drug Bust: Police Confiscate Over 11 Tons of Narcotics in Southeast Region Since March
Iran’s anti-narcotics police have seized 11.859 tons of drugs in Sistan-Baluchestan since March 21, reflecting the country’s vigorous efforts against drug trafficking. Commander Ahmad Ali Goudarzi reported the confiscation of various drugs, including opium and methamphetamine, alongside the arrest of 253 dealers, though 11 individuals lost their lives during operations.
