Israel on the Brink: Two More Weeks of War Could Lead to Catastrophic Consequences

Deadly Assault: 36 Lives Lost in Iran’s Strike on Mossad Headquarters, Reports IRGC Spokesperson

Iran’s Military Response in the Recent 12-Day Conflict with Israel: The conflict between Iran and Israel has escalated dramatically, leading to significant military actions over a 12-day period. On Sunday, Brigadier General Ali-Mohammad Naeini, the IRGC Spokesman and Deputy for Public Relations, provided an in-depth analysis of Iran’s strategic military operations during this intense period.

During a Student Day event, Naeini detailed how Iran’s military actions were both immediate and well-coordinated following an Israeli strike on a fuel depot in Tehran. He emphasized that Iran retaliated swiftly, targeting the Haifa refinery in two separate strikes within just five hours. This operation was described by Israeli sources as a “missile masterpiece,” effectively putting the facility out of service.

Here are some key points from Naeini’s address regarding Iran’s military operations:

  • Response Dynamics: Following the Israeli attack on an Iranian intelligence center, Iran targeted a Mossad site, resulting in 36 confirmed fatalities.
  • Operation “True Promise 3”: This operation commenced shortly after the conflict began, characterized by a multi-layered approach that included electronic warfare, cyber operations, and the use of missiles and drones.
  • Intelligence Superiority: Naeini stated that Iran entered the conflict with full intelligence dominance and a comprehensive data bank.
  • Israeli Casualties: He argued that the casualties suffered by Israeli military and intelligence were likely higher than those on the Iranian side.
  • Precision Strikes: Iran demonstrated its precision capabilities by striking critical infrastructure, such as the minus-one floor of a 32-story building used for stock exchange data in occupied Palestine.

Naeini pointed out that despite Israel deploying its entire air-defense network, backed by U.S. assets in the region, they were unable to intercept Iranian missiles. He highlighted that a single Iranian missile inflicted damage far beyond what Israel had anticipated, especially after the initial warnings of “mass attacks.”

Moreover, Naeini underscored the significant contributions of young Iranian specialists in enhancing the country’s defense capabilities. He reiterated that Iran’s military doctrine, developed post-Iran–Iraq War, emphasizes a people-centered defense and asymmetric warfare strategies, indicating that fronts cannot be compared symmetrically.

He described the 12-day war as a crucial case study for military analysts, noting that Iran’s ability to recover its command structures quickly, execute 22 consecutive missile waves against Israel, and effectively neutralize initial shock were pivotal to the conflict’s outcome.

According to Naeini, U.S. and Israeli think tanks are now recognizing the need to categorize the post-war era into “before and after the 12-day war,” labeling it as “unprecedented” and a key subject for global strategic studies going forward.

During the conflict, Iran faced between 400 to 500 cyberattacks and simultaneously conducted its own cyber operations. Naeini remarked that many aspects of the cyber and intelligence warfare remain undisclosed to the public due to their sensitive nature.

On June 13, the conflict was ignited when Israel launched an unprovoked attack against Iran, coinciding with ongoing nuclear negotiations between Washington and Tehran. This aggression led to a 12-day war that resulted in the deaths of at least 1,064 individuals in Iran, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

The United States escalated the situation by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites, which constituted a serious violation of international law. In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic locations across the occupied territories as well as the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.

By June 24, Iran successfully conducted retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the U.S., effectively halting the ongoing aggression. This conflict has not only altered the military landscape in the region but has also raised critical questions for future strategic considerations.

In conclusion, the recent military engagements have showcased Iran’s capabilities in precision strikes and cyber warfare, marking a significant shift in the dynamics of power in the region.
