Unleashing Innovation: Deputy Minister Advocates for Creative Techniques and AI in Tourism Marketing

In a recent event that highlights the significance of tourism content production, Deputy Tourism Minister Anoushirvan Mohseni-Bandpei emphasized the necessity of embracing innovative techniques, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. This focus aims to enhance advertising and content creation, which play a crucial role in attracting foreign tourists to Iran.

During the unveiling ceremony of the poster for the International Tourism Content Production Festival in Iran, Mohseni-Bandpei underscored the importance of understanding the country’s vast tourism potential. He stated, “Content production is the most key tool for success in attracting foreign tourists.” Here are some key points from his speech:

  • The tourism capabilities of Iran need to be showcased internationally in a timely and quality manner.
  • There is a pressing need for increased budget allocation for tourism advertising, as it is an investment in attracting foreign visitors.
  • High-quality content creation is essential; those who can present their offerings more attractively will ultimately attract more customers.

Mohseni-Bandpei also referenced a recent achievement highlighted in a tweet by the President, regarding the global recognition of three villages: Soheili in Qeshm, Shafiabad in Kerman, and Kandelous in Mazandaran, which have been listed by the World Tourism Organization as global villages. He expressed pride in this accomplishment, stating, “This international success is a source of pride and honor for the country. Iran is a land of art and bravery, and this nation has embraced great honor.”

He praised the efforts of those involved in organizing the 2014 Iran International Tourism Content Production Festival, labeling it a “blessed event.” He added, “Holding such events should increase so that we can introduce the magnificent rainbow of Iran to the world with appropriate imagery.”

In alignment with these sentiments, Moslem Shojaei, the Tourism Ministry’s director-general for marketing and foreign tourism development, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration between the public and private sectors in organizing the content production festival. He pointed out that the potential of local individuals in creating tourism content has often been overlooked. Most tourism-related content produced is commercial, generated by hoteliers and travel agency heads, who typically approach content from a profit-oriented perspective.

Shojaei stressed the importance of adopting a scientific perspective for international content production. He mentioned a collaboration with Islamic Azad University of Yazd, which could significantly enhance the quality of tourism content. He remarked, “We must be able to publish content produced by the public on international social networks by cooperating with different sectors.”

Another prominent speaker at the ceremony was Mohammad-Mahdi Kariminejad, Vice President of Islamic Azad University of Yazd for Research Affairs. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Azad University, Yazd Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department, and other local institutions, which led to the establishment of this festival. He announced the upcoming launch of a tourism faculty within the province, noting, “Given the capacities of Yazd province in the field of tourism and the cooperation of related institutions and the private sector, this trend will continue, and we will soon witness the development of this faculty in postgraduate education.”

Overall, the emphasis on innovative content production strategies and the collaborative efforts among various stakeholders signify a promising future for Iran’s tourism sector. This approach not only aims to attract more international tourists but also showcases the rich cultural heritage and diverse attractions that Iran has to offer.

In summary, the International Tourism Content Production Festival represents a significant step towards enhancing Iran’s presence in the global tourism market. The commitment to quality, creativity, and collaboration among various sectors will be crucial in realizing the full potential of the country’s tourism industry.
