In a significant move to bolster cooperation among member states, President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for the establishment of a joint financial institution within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). During a recent meeting with SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of this financial mechanism. He stated that it would serve as a vital platform for:
