Iran Launches Revolutionary National AI Platform: A New Era in Artificial Intelligence

The recent unveiling of Iran’s first national artificial intelligence platform marks a groundbreaking achievement in the country’s pursuit of AI technology advancement. This innovative platform is designed using an open-source system, enhancing its capabilities while ensuring it is tailored specifically to local needs. The development team, comprising 16 faculty members and over 70 researchers, has focused on creating a robust platform that emphasizes high speed, low cost, scalability, and security, positioning Iran as a key player in the global AI landscape.

The national AI platform integrates local electronic circuits, ensuring that it adheres to Iranian standards and addresses passive defense considerations. Notably, no external application programming interfaces (APIs) have been utilized, which guarantees uninterrupted service even in the event of internet disconnection. This project commenced on October 20, 2024, and is expected to reach completion by the end of summer.
