This festival aims to breathe new life into the age-old tradition of harvesting autumn fruits from the historic gardens, which boast an array of trees including mulberry, apple, pear, walnut, and persimmon. Many of these trees are over a century old.

According to Janjan, Nahavand is home to over 120 old garden courtyards, some ranging from 200 to 1,000 square meters. These gardens play a crucial role in the community, especially during the fall season when persimmons ripen. During the festival, Janjan noted that residents with old garden courtyards generously donate their harvested persimmons to neighbors and those in need.
