Iranian Students Shine Bright with Silver Medals at IPhO 2025
Five Iranian students won silver medals at the 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), elevating Iran to 11th in global rankings. The competition, held in Paris from July 18 to 24, included 440 participants from over 90 countries. The Iranian medalists are Mohammad-Hassan Sadeqinejad, Arya Zarabi, Ilya Qashaee, Mohammad-Hassan Golabdar, and Milad Mohammadi. Additionally, Iranian students excelled in mathematics, securing two gold, three silver, and one bronze medal at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad. Their achievements underscore the country’s growing reputation in these disciplines, reflecting the commitment of educators and institutions to nurture talent.
JWENT Innovates with AI and Nanotechnology to Tackle Water and Environmental Challenges
The upcoming 2026 special issue of the International Journal of Water and Environmental Nanotechnology (JWENT) will focus on innovative solutions at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and nanotechnology to address environmental challenges. It will feature international articles on AI’s role in nanotechnology design, environmental restoration, smart sensors, risk assessment, and sustainable applications. Meanwhile, Iran has made significant advancements in nanotechnology, doubling its export of nanotech products and becoming the sixth-largest global publisher in this field. The country aims to enhance industries and promote its products, primarily exporting to Asian countries, with Iraq being the largest importer.
