29,000 Out-of-School Students Make a Comeback: Resuming Their Education Journey!
In Iran, the issue of out-of-school children has become critical, with 152,287 children aged 6 to 11 identified as not enrolled in school. While around 29,000 have been enrolled recently, a staggering 130,000 remain unregistered. The government’s new program aims to address this through identification, attraction, support, and retention. Economic and cultural challenges contribute to the high numbers, with provinces like Sistan-Baluchestan and Tehran being most affected. Although the dropout rate has decreased from 1.97% to 1.65% in recent years, the total out-of-school children rose to 928,729, indicating ongoing challenges in achieving educational equity in the country.

Iranian Students Shine at TIMO 2025, Securing Prestigious Medals!
Iranian students showcased their mathematical prowess by winning two silver and two bronze medals at the Turkic International Mathematics Olympiad (TIMO) in Antalya, Turkey, held from April 17 to 22. The Olympiad, which attracts students from grades 3 to 12 worldwide, featured over 27,350 participants in the preliminary round, with around 1,500 advancing to the global round.
