Iranian Innovator Sahar Tarhandeh Joins Jury for Esteemed 30th Biennial of Illustration Bratislava
Iranian researcher Sahar Tarhandeh has been appointed as an international juror for the 30th Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB 2025), highlighting Iran’s contributions to children’s literature. Her nomination results from a collaboration between the Children’s Book Council of Iran, the Iranian Illustrators Society, and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. With over two decades of experience, Tarhandeh has previously judged the Hans Christian Andersen Award. The BIB, supported by UNESCO and IBBY, showcases exceptional children’s illustration and includes exhibitions, workshops, and symposiums. Two other Iranian participants will also feature in BIB’s side programs.
