His extensive travels have taken him to over 30 countries with the company, showcasing the unique art of Butoh on international stages.

In addition to his performance career, Matsuoka is also the founder of LAND FES in Tokyo. This organization focuses on producing site-specific choreography events and creating filmed content for online audiences, further expanding the reach of Butoh and contemporary dance.
