Six Iranian Universities Shine in Shanghai Ranking 2025: A Closer Look at Academic Excellence
In the 2025 Shanghai University Ranking, six Iranian universities are in the top 1,000, down from nine in 2024. Notably, Tehran University of Medical Sciences and University of Tehran rank within the 401-500 range. Other ranked institutions include Tarbiat Modares University (701-800) and several medical universities within the 801-1000 range. The ARWU evaluates over 2,500 universities based on objective indicators. Additionally, the Webometrics ranking identifies 64 Iranian medical universities, with notable improvements in several. In the QS World University Rankings, nine Iranian universities are recognized, maintaining their previous count, while the Round University Ranking acknowledges 36 Iranian universities, an increase from 32.
Shiraz and St. Petersburg Universities Unite for Innovative Joint Research Projects
Shiraz University and St. Petersburg University have launched a collaboration involving ten innovative research projects aimed at enhancing educational and cultural exchanges between Iran and Russia.
