September 26 marks World Tourism Day, a day that highlights the vital role of tourism in connecting nations and fostering cultural understanding. Today, tourism serves not only as a recreational activity but also as a catalyst for sustainable development and a pathway to a greener, more humane future. This year’s UN theme, “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” emphasizes that the future of the tourism industry is intrinsically linked to our respect for nature and our commitment to environmental protection.

Moving towards green tourism and leveraging innovation to minimize the environmental impact of travel is now a global necessity. Iran is dedicated to championing this cause, positioning itself as a leader in sustainable tourism practices.

Iran boasts a remarkable diversity of climates, rich cultural heritage, and stunning natural attractions, making it an ideal destination for tourism development. The cultural expressions of Iran’s diverse ethnic groups, along with ancient traditions and vibrant festivals, offer valuable opportunities to showcase the depth of Iranian identity while promoting social cohesion.
