Iran Takes Center Stage at INNOVERSE 2025: A Showcase of Innovation and Excellence

Iranian students have showcased their remarkable talents in science and technology by securing a total of 13 medals at the INNOVERSE International Invention & Innovation Expo. This prestigious event, held online on August 24, 2025, offered a unique platform for inventors, researchers, and students to collaborate and exchange knowledge across various disciplines.

The INNOVERSE Expo represented more than just a competition; it facilitated intellectual growth and innovation, attracting participants from around the globe. This year, 177 teams from 47 countries, including nations like Armenia, China, France, and the United States, participated in the event, as reported by Innoverse.world. The projects highlighted various fields such as advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, social development, and environmental sustainability.

Among the standout innovations from Iranian students, the following projects earned gold medals:

  • CommuniMate SmartApp: Solutions for Deaf Communication Challenges by Ilia Majidzadeh Heravi and Parsa Karimi Yazdi.
  • Magnetic Gear Evaluation: A project focused on improving mechanical gear performance by Artin Radmatin, Ava Alebouyeh, Baran Bahman, Elyar Ferdosizadeh, and Mohammad Hossein Ezzati.
  • Pneumatic Muscles Design: Simulation and analysis of dynamic behavior by Niki Abtahi, Parsa Ahmadpour Rahiminejad, Baran Derakhshandeh Daryasari, Sarina Nosrati, and Ramiya Rahjou.

In addition to the gold medals, Iranian students also clinched silver medals for their noteworthy inventions:

The Ministry of Education highlighted this success, emphasizing the importance of such competitions in raising Iran’s profile on the international stage.

In addition to their accomplishments at INNOVERSE, Iranian students have excelled in other prestigious events. Notably, they secured five gold medals at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA), held in Mumbai, India, from August 11 to 21. This event saw over 300 high school students from 64 countries participating in a series of rigorous exams covering various aspects of astronomy.

The Iranian team, which included Ali Naderi Lordjani, Arshia Mirshamsi Kakhaki, Hossein Soltani, Hossein Masoumi, and Hirbod Foodazi, achieved remarkable success, with the first three students emerging as top winners. This achievement reflects the commitment of the students and the support from their families and coaches.

Moreover, Iranian students continued to shine at the Yakutia International Science Fair (YISF) and the World Invention Creativity Olympics (WICO). The YISF, held in Yakutsk, Russia, from July 6 to 9, attracted 129 teams from 10 countries and featured projects in mathematics, computer science, and engineering.

During this event, Mehran Rajabi and Alireza Jafarnezhad secured first place for their project titled EcoNet Bin. Moeid Rajabi and Helena Rajabi earned second place for their project, Protecting Curious Little Minds, while a team including Artin Radmatin and others won third place for their work on magnetic gear performance.

WICO, a global platform for inventors, was held from July 17 to 19 at Seoul National University of Education in South Korea. The event brought together 313 teams from 28 countries, fostering an environment for sharing advancements in science and technology.

At WICO, Radin Abbasi and Sam Rashidi won a gold medal for their humanoid robot project, NannyBot, designed to assist in managing children’s activities through IoT technology. Silver medals were awarded to Matin Hayati for his EEG signals project and Raman Nafarieh for his research on plant nanogels and skin cancer cells.

These accomplishments underscore the incredible potential and dedication of Iranian students in the fields of science and technology, as they continue to make significant contributions on the global stage.
