This initiative reflects Iran’s commitment to providing second chances and rehabilitation. The campaign has seen the release of over 7,706 prisoners in the past year, with significant contributions from benefactors and government leaders to help alleviate debts exceeding 14 trillion rials. Established in 1990, the Blood Money Organization has facilitated over 160,000 releases, underscoring a compassionate approach to justice and forgiveness in Iranian society.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) commended Iran for a 63% reduction in maternal mortality rates, dropping from 43 to 16 deaths per 1,000 live births since 2000, largely due to its strong primary health care network. On International Day of the Midwife, Ayna Seyitliyeva, UNFPA representative, emphasized the vital role of midwives in improving maternal health and reducing preventable deaths.
