A recent report by Iran’s Civil Registration Organization reveals that 540,528 births were registered in the first seven months of the current calendar year, which began in March 2025. The data shows a slight gender difference, with 280,647 boys and 259,881 girls born, and highlights that 421,264 births occurred in urban areas compared to 119,264 in rural regions. Notably, there were 11,169 multiple births, including 10,806 twins. The average age for first-time mothers is 27.5 years, with urban mothers averaging 28.2 years and rural mothers 24.4 years.
