Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, has rejected the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) and European Union (EU) statements asserting UAE claims on Iranian islands and interfering in Iran’s defense and nuclear issues. He reaffirmed Iran’s sovereignty over Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa, condemning the claims as legally invalid. Baghaei criticized EU nations, particularly Germany and France, for supporting Israel while interfering in the Persian Gulf, calling for regional cooperation and trust. He emphasized that external pressures will not alter Iran’s territorial integrity, urging a focus on genuine dialogue and respect among neighboring countries.
