Urgent Call for Action: Leader Demands Strong Measures to Halt Israeli Violations in Gaza

The ongoing partnership between Iran and Pakistan has become increasingly crucial, especially in light of recent events in Gaza. In a significant meeting, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address the crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza. This gathering with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Tehran highlights the vital role both nations play in the Muslim world.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei made several key points:

• He praised the positive developments in relations between Pakistan and India, expressing hope for the resolution of their longstanding differences.
• Khamenei acknowledged Pakistan’s strong and consistent stance on the Palestine issue, noting that despite temptations, the nation has remained steadfast in its support.
• The Leader emphasized the need for greater unity among Muslim countries to counteract global warmongering and ensure the security of Muslim nations.
• He described Palestine as the “prime issue of the Muslim world,” highlighting protests in Europe and the US against the current situation in Gaza.
• Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that some Muslim countries still align with the Israeli regime, which hinders progress.
• He expressed optimism about the future of the Muslim world, stressing that Iran and Pakistan could lead the way in redirecting the Palestinian issue through cooperation.

Furthermore, Khamenei noted the historically warm and brotherly relations between Tehran and Islamabad, recalling Pakistan’s supportive stance during the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran (1980-88). He also remarked that current bilateral cooperation is not at the expected level, stating, “The two countries can help each other in many areas.”

The Leader expressed hope that Prime Minister Sharif’s visit would foster comprehensive relations across various sectors, particularly in economic, political, and cultural domains. He also highlighted the necessity of enhancing collaboration within the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

During the meeting, attended by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Sharif commended Iran’s positive influence in resolving issues between Pakistan and India. He also expressed regret that the international community has not taken effective measures to address the dire situation in Gaza.

Arriving in Tehran earlier on Monday, Sharif was welcomed by Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. This marks his second official visit to Tehran within the past year, accompanied by Pakistani Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
