Iran Denounces Israeli Aggression in Yemen: A Call for Global Solidarity

In a recent development, the Israeli airstrikes on Yemen’s Hudaydah port have drawn strong condemnation from the Iranian Foreign Ministry. This incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region and raises serious concerns about violations of international law.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei issued a statement on Tuesday morning, criticizing the Israeli actions as “a crime and a gross violation of the principles and rules of international law as well as the United Nations Charter in respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries.”

Baqaei urged the international community and regional nations to take decisive actions to halt the ongoing bloodshed and destruction caused by both the United States and the Israeli regime. He emphasized that:

  • The only way to ensure security in the region is to stop the genocide and crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza.
  • Ending the impunity of Israeli criminals is crucial to restoring peace.

The airstrikes on Hudaydah on Monday resulted in at least 21 injuries and significant damage to local infrastructure, including a cement factory. Reports indicate that dozens of Israeli warplanes carried out these attacks as the Yemeni Armed Forces ramp up their operations in response to foreign aggression and Israeli actions against Palestinians.

Despite the ongoing assaults, Yemenis have made it clear that they will not relent until Israel ceases its aggression against Gazans and lifts the siege on Palestinian territory. The situation remains tense as both local and international observers call for an end to the violence.
