Iran and Tajikistan Forge Strategic Partnership with New Security Cooperation MoU

In a significant move to bolster security ties, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni of Iran and his Tajik counterpart, Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to enhance security cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan, focusing on critical areas such as organized terrorism and human trafficking.

The newly signed MoU emphasizes several key areas of collaboration:

  • Combating Organized Terrorism: Both nations aim to strengthen their efforts against terrorism.
  • Human Trafficking: The agreement includes strategies to combat human trafficking, ensuring the safety of citizens.
  • Smuggling of Nationals: Enhanced measures will be taken to prevent the smuggling of individuals across borders.
