Judiciary Chief Calls for Iran-Turkey Alliance to Safeguard Tourist Rights

In a recent development, Judiciary Chief Qolam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei has proposed a cooperation agreement aimed at safeguarding the rights of Iranian and Turkish travelers. This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between Tehran and Ankara.

While attending the 20th Summit of Heads of Judiciary Systems of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States in Hangzhou, China, Mohseni-Ejei engaged with senior judicial officials from Turkey and Uzbekistan.

During his discussions with Ömer Kerkez, the president of the Turkish High Court of Appeals, Mohseni-Ejei emphasized the strong and positive relations between Iran and Turkey, which are deeply rooted in their good neighborliness. He pointed out the following key points:

  • Protection of the rights of travelers from both nations.
  • Enhancement of bilateral relations through judicial collaboration.

In a separate meeting with Islamov Bakhtiyor Jahangirovich, Uzbekistan’s top judicial official, Mohseni-Ejei expressed Iran’s willingness to collaborate with Central Asian countries. He highlighted several areas of potential cooperation, including:

  2. Modernization of judicial processes.
  3. Training programs for judges.
  4. Promotion of peace through mediation and arbitration.
