Yemen Stands Firmly with Gaza: Unwavering Support to the Last Breath

Yemen’s Support for Gaza Intensifies Amid Ongoing ConflictYemen has unwaveringly backed Gaza during the latest stages of the Israeli conflict, demonstrating its commitment even amid escalating tensions. Recently, a ballistic missile launch from Yemen aimed at Tel Aviv triggered widespread alarm, with sirens blaring across Israel, including in Ramallah.

According to reports from Hebrew media, the missile attack prompted a mass exodus of Israelis from the beaches of Tel Aviv. Videos circulating on Israeli news outlets showcased the frantic rush of citizens seeking shelter after the sirens sounded in central Israel.

Key points from the incident include:

  • Rocket fragments reportedly landed near Beitar Illit, south of occupied Jerusalem.
  • Sounds of explosions resonated through the occupied West Bank following the missile launch.
  • The Israeli ambulance service reported multiple injuries as people hurried to safety.
  • Air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport faced temporary disruptions due to the missile threat.

In response to the missile fragments, firefighting teams were dispatched to Be’er Ya’akov, located south of Tel Aviv, to manage a fire caused by the debris. The Israeli occupation forces confirmed that the air raid sirens were activated following the missile launches from Yemen.

On Saturday, a military spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces released a statement emphasizing their commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause. The spokesperson, Yahya Saree, declared:

“Triumphing for the oppression of the Palestinian people and their fighters and in response to the recent massacres against our people in Gaza, and within the fifth stage of the supportive stages in the battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy War.”

Saree elaborated on the military operation, stating, “The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out a specific military operation targeting the so-called Ministry of Defense of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Tel Aviv, using a ballistic missile, Dhu al-Fiqar type.” He added:

“The missile reached its target with high accuracy, thanks to God, and the interception systems failed to intercept it.”

The statement further emphasized the Yemeni Armed Forces’ commitment to standing alongside the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, promising military action against any Israeli escalations during the ceasefire agreement period.

Later that evening, an Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that sirens were activated in various southern areas following another missile launch from Yemen. Ongoing investigations into the incidents were reported. Additionally, sirens were activated in Eilat and surrounding regions, with claims that the missile was intercepted.

Yemen has taken a decisive stance in supporting Gaza since November 2023, blocking Israeli-affiliated ships from docking at its ports, a move that has significantly impacted Israel’s maritime operations, particularly leaving the port of Eilat in dire straits.

As the situation in Gaza deteriorated, Yemeni forces increased their military actions, targeting strategic locations in Tel Aviv. Despite regular bombardments by the United States, Britain, and Israel on Yemeni cities, the Sanaa government has remained resolute, conducting military operations in the Red Sea and launching hypersonic missiles at Israeli targets.

More recently, Yemeni forces have escalated their operations by targeting vital Israeli infrastructures, including power plants. Notably, hypersonic missiles fired from Yemen have successfully evaded multiple interceptor systems operated by CENTCOM and the Israeli military, showcasing the advanced capabilities of Yemen’s missile technology.

The government in Sanaa has stated its intention to cease military operations only when the ruthless Israeli attacks on Gaza come to an end, alongside the lifting of the blockade on the enclave. Unfortunately, these deadly assaults have persisted.

In a recent report from the Gaza Health Ministry, it was revealed that on the 470th day of the ongoing conflict, “the Israeli occupation committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 23 dead and 83 injuries arriving at hospitals during the past 24 hours.” The ministry further noted:

“There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.”

The escalating violence has led to a tragic increase in casualties, with the death toll from the Israeli aggression now standing at 46,899 martyrs and 110,725 injured since October 7, 2023. This grim statistic underscores the urgent need for a ceasefire and humanitarian relief in the region.
