Vice President Highlights Void Left by Nasrallah and Safieddine in the Muslim World

In a significant tribute to the late leaders of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref emphasized their profound influence as true followers of Imam Hussain (AS). Their absence is keenly felt in the Muslim world, especially following the recent funeral ceremonies held in Beirut.

During the funeral service for Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine, Aref acknowledged the pivotal role these leaders played in the regional resistance movement. He noted that their contributions were vital in fostering a sense of awakening among the Muslim community.

  • Aref expressed admiration for the impressive turnout at the funeral, showcasing the leaders’ impact on their followers.
  • He regretted not being able to attend the ceremony due to scheduling conflicts.
  • Aref conveyed his belief that the legacy of Nasrallah and Safieddine would inspire the younger generation to continue their mission.

Tragically, Hassan Nasrallah lost his life in Israeli airstrikes targeting Dahiya in southern Beirut on September 27, 2024. Following him, Hashem Safieddine, who was designated as his successor, was also killed by the Israeli regime just a week later.

As the Muslim world mourns their loss, many anticipate that the spirit of resistance will be revived by the youth inspired by their teachings and leadership.
