During his speech in Bushehr, southern Iran, Pezeshkian emphasized the need for collaboration among citizens. He stated, “We have to join hands and build up our country with unity and convergence.” He further clarified his motivations, saying, “I never sought out the presidency, but I have been seeking and will seek to the end the honor and pride of Islam and our country.

In addition to addressing domestic issues, President Pezeshkian criticized U.S. President Donald Trump for his stance on Iran. He pointed out the hypocrisy in Trump’s accusations of Iran as a source of “terrorism” while the U.S. engages in actions that undermine Iranian stability. Pezeshkian remarked:

  • They’re saying ‘You should not have weapons and missiles,’ meaning that Israel would be able to bomb our country and leave just as it bombed Gaza.

Pezeshkian questioned Trump’s commitment to negotiations, stating, “If you’re the man of negotiations, why do you do these things?” He stressed that while the Iranian nation does not seek conflict, it will not yield to threats:

  • We want war with no one.
  • We have established amicable relations with all neighbors; all neighbors are our brothers and sisters and friends.

With his remarks, President Pezeshkian seeks to foster a message of peace and collaboration while standing firm against external pressures and accusations. His commitment to unity and pride in his country remains steadfast amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions.
