Judiciary Chief Condemns Western Hypocrisy on Terrorism and Human Rights

Tehran, IRNA – In a significant address during his visit to China, Judiciary Chief Qolam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei emphasized the need for global unity against Western narratives on critical issues. Participating in a judicial forum for member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he articulated the challenges posed by some Western powers and their double standards regarding global phenomena like terrorism and human rights.

During his meeting with Chinese counterpart Zhang Jun, Mohseni-Ejei stated:

“The world must stand against them. Through cooperation, we must neutralize the conspiracies that some arrogant powers are trying to impose on sovereign countries.”

He strongly rejected Western approaches, calling for a united front among nations. Mohseni-Ejei highlighted the necessity for enhanced collaboration among SCO members to address the following issues:

  • Terrorism
  • Organized crime
  • Drug trafficking
  • Human trafficking
  • Cybercrime

Additionally, he condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza, urging the SCO to take action against the crimes and genocide faced by Palestinians.

Strengthening Iran-China Relations for Global Peace

In his dialogue with Zhang, Mohseni-Ejei expressed optimism about the diplomatic ties between Iran and China, stating:

“The precious civilizational heritage of Iran and China will contribute significantly to improving ties.”

He further noted:

“The 25-year strategic document between Iran and China can create an important perspective in bilateral cooperation.”

This strategic partnership aims to enhance global peace and security, with Mohseni-Ejei stressing the importance of judicial and legal cooperation to elevate their relationship further.

Leading a high-ranking judicial delegation, Mohseni-Ejei arrived in Hangzhou, China, on Monday. He is set to deliver speeches at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 20th summit of the SCO’s supreme court chairs and engage in bilateral discussions with fellow judicial leaders throughout the event.

The SCO, comprising roughly 42% of the world’s population, seeks to foster collaborative initiatives across various sectors, including economic, political, security, and legal-judicial domains.
