Iranian Toy Industry Seeks Global Exhibitions to Elevate International Market Presence

In a bid to enhance the global visibility of Iranian toys, the director of Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), Hamed Alamati, has emphasized the necessity of organizing international toy exhibitions. His remarks came during his visit to the ongoing 9th National Toy Festival, which is currently taking place at the IIDCYA exhibition hall.

Alamati highlighted the remarkable advancements made in the toy sector compared to previous years, stating that hosting exhibitions on both domestic and international levels is crucial for effectively marketing Iranian toys. Here are some key points he made during the festival:

  • Special Sections: This year’s festival features dedicated sections for donating toys to underprivileged children and for sending toys to children in Gaza and Lebanon, emphasizing the festival’s community-oriented initiatives.
  • Provincial Expansion: Alamati expressed his commitment to extending the exhibition to various provinces, a proposal that was not realized last year due to unforeseen circumstances.

The 9th National Toy Festival aims to bolster domestically produced goods while fostering meaningful connections among designers, manufacturers, investors, and other stakeholders in the recreational and toy industry. It seeks to:

  3. Enhance the quality of products and designers within the toy industry.

This event is a collaborative effort involving the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the Iranian Toy Manufacturers Association, the Toy Monitoring Council, the Cognitive Science Headquarters, Soore University, and various sectors of the Tehran Municipality.

This year’s festival showcases an impressive array of 142 toy brands and over 2,400 items. The first section of the festival is dedicated to displaying and selling Iranian toys in the main hall, followed by a segment that promotes the functionalities of play and toys.

Additionally, the festival includes a scientific segment featuring specialized meetings focused on toys, organized by Soore University. A competitive section will also be held to identify the best Iranian toys, with around 50 domestic companies participating thus far.

One of the specialized sessions at the festival is dedicated to discussing therapeutic and rehabilitation toys, addressing the needs of children with special requirements. This aspect highlights the festival’s commitment to inclusivity and support for all children.

The National Toy Festival serves as a significant platform for the public to familiarize themselves with quality Iranian products. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe the offerings of local manufacturers and provide valuable feedback.

This year’s festival, themed “Game, A Practice of Life,” will run until January 29, showcasing the vibrant and innovative spirit of the Iranian toy industry.
