    A stone fragment believed to be from the ancient site of Persepolis has been transferred to the Cultural Heritage Directorate of Fars province. Discovered on April 2, 2023, near Persepolis, the fragment was voluntarily handed over, with authorities confirming no damage or theft from the original site. Persepolis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was established around 518 BC by Darius the Great and features remarkable architecture and history, including its destruction by Alexander the Great in 330 BC.
