Iran’s Foreign Minister Visits Oman for Key Insights at Indian Ocean Conference
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has embarked on an important diplomatic mission to Oman, leading a delegation to participate in the eighth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC). This significant event aims to foster collaboration among nations bordering the Indian Ocean.
Araghchi’s journey to Oman began on Saturday evening. His agenda includes not only attending the Indian Ocean Conference but also engaging in bilateral meetings with counterparts from various participating countries and attending officials.
The conference is scheduled to take place in Muscat over the course of Sunday and Monday. According to Oman’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, the event will focus on:
- Theme: “A Voyage Towards New Horizons of Maritime Partnership.”
- Participation: Ministers and officials from 60 countries and international organizations.
- Aim: Strengthening economic and security cooperation among coastal states of the Indian Ocean.
