Iran Condemns U.S. ‘Humiliating’ Treatment of Migrants as Unacceptable

In recent news, the treatment of migrants, particularly Iranian nationals, has drawn significant attention. Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson, stated on Saturday that the Foreign Ministry is committed to supporting the rights of Iranian nationals. To this end, he mentioned that the ministry has issued essential directives to Iran’s Interest Section in Washington, D.C., as well as other diplomatic and consular missions in South America. These directives aim to provide assistance to Iranian nationals who have been expelled from the United States.

This action followed similar deportations of immigrants from countries like Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil, where deportees were reportedly handcuffed and shackled. Such treatment has sparked criticism in the receiving countries, with many describing the actions as treating migrants like criminals.
