Iran Slams Israel's Aggressive Threats Against Iranian Plane Bound for Lebanon

Iran Blasts Israel’s Threats Against Iranian Flight to Lebanon: Rising Tensions in the Skies

Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, has voiced strong condemnation against the Israeli regime for its alarming threats aimed at attacking an Iranian passenger plane that was transporting Lebanese citizens. This situation has raised significant concerns regarding international aviation safety and the protection of national sovereignty.

Baghaei emphasized that the Israeli threat constitutes a blatant violation of international law and undermines Lebanon’s national sovereignty. He called upon various international organizations, particularly the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to intervene and put a stop to Israel’s “dangerous” actions.

In a related development, Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, reported that:

  • Two weekly flights from Iran to Beirut were cancelled on Thursday.
  • Amani criticized the Lebanese government for seeking alternative planes.

This governmental move has resulted in many Lebanese travelers being left stranded at the airport in Tehran, escalating concerns among passengers. The situation has further intensified as the Israeli regime previously issued a subtle threat aimed at Iranian aircraft flying to Lebanon.

It is crucial for international bodies to address these escalating tensions to ensure the safety of air travel and uphold the principles of sovereignty and lawful conduct in aviation.
