Tehran Set to Showcase Innovation at Iran Smart City Exhibition and Conference!
The sixth Iran Smart City Exhibition and Conference is set to commence tomorrow in Tehran, concluding on Friday. This event, themed around smart cities and artificial intelligence, coincides with World Cities Day and aims to foster innovation, enhance smart city infrastructures, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the scientific, industrial, and management sectors, according to a report by IRNA.
The exhibition will feature a diverse array of companies, organizations, municipalities, and technology institutions, each showcasing their latest products, designs, and achievements in the realms of smart cities and artificial intelligence.

World Cities Day is observed annually on October 31, marking the conclusion of Urban October. First celebrated in 2014, this day features a global observance hosted by a different city each year, focusing on a specific theme relevant to urbanization.
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) established this observance to promote interest in global urbanization, encourage international cooperation in addressing urbanization challenges, and contribute to sustainable urban development worldwide.
The Global Observance of World Cities Day 2025 took place in Bogotá, Colombia, with a focus on people-centred smart cities. This event highlighted how data-driven decision-making, technology, and artificial intelligence can enhance urban life and facilitate recovery from current challenges and crises.
