President Pezeshkian Strongly Denounces Israeli Aggression Against Hamas

In a recent statement, the Iranian president condemned a terrorist act targeting Hamas leaders in Doha, highlighting the ongoing violence and its implications for diplomacy in the region. The president’s remarks reflect a deep concern over the escalating tensions and the need for a robust international response to such acts of aggression.

The Iranian president’s statement emphasized several critical points regarding the recent attack:

  • Violation of International Laws: The attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar represents a blatant violation of international laws and humanitarian principles.
  • Threat to Regional Stability: Such acts of aggression undermine peace and stability in the Middle East.
  • Call for International Response: The president urged the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other international bodies to respond decisively to this aggression.
  • Support for Palestine: Iran expressed solidarity with Qatar and the Palestinian people, reinforcing their right to resist occupation.
  • Commitment to Regional Security: Iran pledged to stand by the oppressed peoples of the region and to oppose unilateral aggressive policies.

The text of the statement read:

In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

Today, the Zionist regime, once again and in the shadow of the questionable silence of the international community, committed a criminal act by attacking the territory of Qatar and targeting Palestinian resistance leaders. This act not only violated international laws and humanitarian principles but also made peace and stability in the region the target of its blatant aggression. This terrorist act represents the reality that the Zionist regime has no limits on crime and assassination and destroys any efforts for diplomacy.

The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns this illegal, inhumane, and anti-peace action. Attacking an independent country is a clear violation of national sovereignty and the UN Charter, and the indifference of global powers to such behaviors will double the risk of escalating crises and wars in the region.

While expressing solidarity with the brotherly government and people of Qatar and the oppressed people of Palestine, we emphasize that the aggression and state terrorism of the Zionist regime will not weaken the determination of the Palestinian people for freedom and resistance, but will strengthen the unity of the peoples of the region against this occupation and injustice.

The United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other international bodies are expected to respond immediately, decisively, and practically to this blatant aggression. Lasting peace in the region is only possible by ending occupation and aggression.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as it has always emphasized, will stand by all the oppressed peoples of the region and will not allow unilateral and aggressive policies to jeopardize the security and future of the region.

President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran concluded the statement by reaffirming the nation’s commitment to support oppressed peoples and to work towards lasting peace in the region. The expectation is clear: without a concerted effort from international bodies, the cycle of violence and retaliation will continue, threatening the future of the Middle East.

This latest incident underscores the urgent need for diplomatic engagement and a reevaluation of policies that perpetuate conflict in the region. As tensions rise, the role of international organizations becomes increasingly pivotal in mediating disputes and fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and reconciliation.

Moreover, the president’s statement highlights an essential truth: peace cannot be achieved while occupation and aggression persist. The global community must unite to put an end to such violations and work towards a comprehensive peace framework that respects the rights and sovereignty of all nations involved.

The Iranian leadership’s stance is a call to action for all nations to uphold justice and support those who are oppressed. The commitment to stand against aggression and support resistance movements is a significant aspect of Iran’s foreign policy, reflecting its broader aspirations for regional stability and justice.

In conclusion, the Iranian president’s strong condemnation of the attack on Hamas leaders not only reaffirms Iran’s position on international law and human rights but also serves as a reminder of the complexities of Middle Eastern geopolitics. The international community must respond effectively to ensure that such acts of violence do not go unchecked, paving the way for a more peaceful and just world.
